Josh's Grandma's favorite holiday was Easter and so every year Josh's mom always gets us Easter baskets, dyes eggs and gets the kids little gifts. It is so sweet that she still does all of this for her kids and grandkids in honor of her mom and grandmom. We went to Crescent, Oklahoma to church with PaPa and then had lunch at his house and Solomon loved rolling his new ball all over the house while we ate. It was a sweet time and I am so thankful for Josh's thoughtful family. I have been thinking a lot about Jesus' resurrection lately and the real reason for Easter, and I really wish that my heart was not so dull about Jesus' death for us to be brought near to God and to take the wrath of God for our sins. I mean, this is a big deal! I am praying for a more sensitive heart to understand the depth of the love that He has for us. I can't wait until Solomon is old enough for me to tell him about Jesus and the glorious reason for Easter weekend.

To think, 9 months ago I had a baby and 9 months before that I got pregnant. I wonder what the next 9 months will hold???
He just cut his 4th tooth today, is crawling around with lightening speed, pulls up on EVERYTHING, eats scraps from his snacks off the floor, now has separation anxiety, climbs all over the dogs, understands "come to momma" and "milk" and loves DOGS.
I love my little munchkin. We even went swimming today, in the cold water in the backyard and he absolutely loved it (must have been all of that swimming I did while I was pregnant).

February was an off month for us, Solomon got his first two teeth, double ear infections and an upper respiratory infection hat lasted weeks. We were al sick and our dog died. There wasn't much to video and so I just took the month off for the most part and started videoing again at the first of March, so here is our newest home video!
The song is off of Bethany Dillon's newest EP, "You're the Best Song I'll Ever Write". Best song about a child EVER!

I have so enjoyed watching Soloman's videos, so much so, I'm starting to do the same with my niece! And I have to admit, I totally cried when I saw this, and I'm not even a momma. Your sweet baby is precious and it is so encouraging to read of your stories as a mom.

Lubbock is Solomon's second home. Josh and I left 80% of our family and my entire client base back here and so I come back once a month to photograph and let Solomon get to know all of his cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents better. He loves it here, and I will have him swimming in that pool as soon as it warms up! I put his feet in today and it was COLD, he didn't even flinch, he just splish-splashed around, I think he will be a swimmer like his momma. Anyway, I had some extra time to edit some of the photos from this week so far and wanted to share...
