Yesterday afternoon I drove home from my 24 hour trip to Amarillo, Texas for Mary Taylor and Jesus' amazing wedding. When I got back, I'm not gonna lie, I was exhausted. I woke up and drove there for five hours and then photographed their wedding for seven and a half hours and then stayed up chatting with my second shooter, Ann Itschner until 12:30. If that wasn't enough, we got up, dropped her off to the airport at nine and then I drove five more hours home. I've been burning the candle at both ends for the last two weeks trying to get everything caught up before all of my travel begins (I have a state wide trip planned on Wednesday with Solomon all across Texas and back to Oklahoma). I am the kind of person that re-energizes by doing things, even when I'm really tired. You can sleep when you're dead right? Right when I got home I wanted to go out on a walk and go to the night service at church, and so Josh got Solomon together and we went to our favorite spot in Stillwater, the OSU gardens. The weather was beautiful and the trees were changing into a brilliant orange and I have never seen so many photographers out in one place! I think I saw 5 different photographers doing sessions while we were walking around. It was fun to get out into nature before winter settles in.

It's pretty cold and muddy outside today, but after I went shopping at the antique malls yesterday and bought some new props, I just had to photograph my little chubby boy again. It smelled like wet dog poo, probably because there were land-mines all around us, and the temperature was probably mid fifties, but my boy was a trooper in his long sleeved onsie! Yesterday at the 50% off sale at the antique store in Stillwater I ended up with a green Ford pedal car ($50), this green crate ($12), this beautiful flag ($12) and a tiny chair ($12). It was a really great day with some awesome finds! I am not sure what the etiquette was with the flag, I just remember that it shouldn't touch the ground and so I laid it on a step stool (don't be offended! I love the America:) and wheeled out my old radio flyer for some quick photos of Solomon. I was wanting to try a new editing technique that is pretty trendy right now, and so here it goes!

We went to the National Cowboy Museum in Oklahoma City yesterday and it was really, really cool! It was well worth the $12 to get in and Solomon got to see a lot of neat stuff too!

Tonight was a fun night. We ditched Halloween and had our family photos taken by Kayla Hoffsommer! She did such a great job and I am very conflicted on where to put all of the photos! I'm thinking a canvas display and switching out all of the photos in the living room! Here is one of my favorites from tonight...

Josh, Solomon and I went to the OSU Homecoming walk-around Friday night. You can see what America's largest homecoming looks like if you watch the video in the post below. It was so much fun to get all dressed up in orange and take Solomon to see something new!

Laura Lynch:

Lauren! You are looking fantastic! Are you doing anything besides breastfeeding? I am beyond jealous.

Lauren:

YES! And... I'm not eating any dairy! That helps too!
