Amanda and I had a morning to find something to do before Heather and Cary's wedding and happened upon a fun place called the Arkansas Post. They were demonstrating a canon firing while we were there, which was super cool and LOUD! My baby probably did a flip in my belly after the concussion hit us, it was a really big boom. Arkansas is just absolutely beautiful and we even saw an alligator in the wild!

Hello, I have admired your blog and photos for a long time. I was wondering if you sell your pictures, in particular the one above with the trees in the water. My friend in in Louisianna and is taking pictures similar for me and this one would add to the collection of prints for my wall. Please let me know. Thanks!

The only thing I have left to do in the baby room is put up a curtain in front of the closet and birth my boy! I was so excited to be able to go to IKEA while I was in the Denton area last week and pick up the remaining things for his room: large sheepskin, 3 large frames and a curtain rod for the closet covering. Jenn Dungan (my sister-in-law's sister) also had our curtains and bedskirt ready for me to pick up on my way through Edmond. Josh had his drill ready when I got home and put everything on the walls for me and we were all of the sudden finished with the room!

Here is a list of the places where I got each thing...

Wall color: Valspar's Crafted White
Curtains, bedding and pillow cases: Jenn Dungan (super_mom_23@hotmail.com
Sheepskin rugs, clock, shelving, frames: IKEA
Baby Mobile: handcrafted by me! Paper airplanes made from comic books and a new bike rim hung by 40 pound fishing line.
Ceiling Decals: Etsy
License Plates, baskets, dresser and soda boxes: local antique malls

28 hours of the next 7 days will be spent in my Nissan Cube. It's a good thing that it gets almost 30 mpg with these incredible gas prices!

I'm headed to Dumas, Arkansas today with my friend Amanda Watson to photograph Heather Lawrence's wedding tomorrow. We are making what I would call a suicide trip (I get to exaggerate it because I'm pregnant) there and back 14 hours where we will be back by Sunday at lunch to get back to our families. It will be fun, and yes, I know to take many breaks to stretch my legs:)

When I get back on Sunday I have to repack for another 5 days of traveling where I'll be leaving Monday morning for Denton, Texas to photograph Carri Neu's family, setup for my mini group Brainwash, make a quick trip to IKEA (yes!), teach the seminar, photograph another family, teach another seminar, drive to Granbury, wake up and teach a full day seminar and then drive home that evening. Sheesh. This trip reminds me of last Fall when I was galavanting around the country by myself. Once next weekend comes I can breathe a sigh of relief that I won't have any other trips besides my baby shower in Lubbock the first week of May before Sol comes.

Send up a little prayer for me:)

Needless to say, I will be a little slower in answering emails/phone calls until after Easter unless your session is before then.

Have a fun Spring weekend!

It has been a while since I've posted an update on my pregnancy! I can't believe that I'll be 30 weeks this Friday, and boy it has really flown by now that the Spring is here. I have the normal aches and pains of sleeping and waddling around, but it will be so worth it when I get to see my little boy in June! I have been holding out on buying any new clothes because I'm just trying to make it as long as I can without buying more XL sizes! I only have two pair of pants that fit right now, which is just no fun when they get dirty, and I pretty much always look frumpy. I am embracing the frump though and really enjoy the evenings when Sol is wiggling around like crazy and when I can see him thumping my belly.

He is almost 3 pounds according to my cell phone app and about 14 inches long. Wowzas.

So far I think Sol looks like he has Josh's lips and toes, and his Pop's nose!

Lauren, Sol has such pretty "kissy lips" as I call them. Korbyn had them when he was a baby too. I'm so happy you are joining the Mommy Club. Congrats!!!
