This weekend was my 26th birthday and my 6 year anniversary to being married to my amazing husband, Josh! I can't believe that I am 26, I still feel like I am still 17! We were laying in bed holding Solomon on our anniversary and I looked at Josh and said, "Can you believe that last year we were at Six Flags on our anniversary and this year we are holding a baby?!". A lot can change in a year, but this year has been one of the most rewarding ever! We are now parents to a beautiful son, and our marriage is stronger than it has ever been. I love this year.

My two best boys...

Josh's sister, Marla, and her family came up this weekend to meet Solomon and we were able to do a photo of Mimi and Pops with all of their grandkids!

So we tried to have another short, magical newborn session tonight and this one didn't work as well as the one last night. I fed Solomon well and it was nice and hot outside, but he just didn't want to cooperate. Oh well, look how chubby he is getting!!

I am so proud of him, he slept in his crib for 6 hours last night and even went down for a nap awake in his crib today and only cried for a minute or two! Good boy!

This was the shortest newborn session ever taken on planet earth, 4 minutes flat. The light was perfect, Sol was well fed and I had "the shot" in my head. The stars aligned and I got a few that I loved! Tomorrow night we are going to the OSU gardens to do a few of him with the cutest little gray aviator hat on, and I'm hoping that they work out as well as this tiny session did!

Lauren,
He is so precious! Since I'm expecting soon myself, I've really enjoyed following your story, especially the last week. Thank you so much for sharing your world. These photos are adorable and I can only imagine how cute the future rounds will be too. It makes me so excited to do this for my own baby. Congratulations to you and your family!

It's never too early for Golden Books!!! I read to Christopher and Christin from birth and enjoyed every minute of it. Trips to the grocery store always resulted in at least one Golden Book being purchased--for $.39, a far cry from the price today!! He's ADORABLE!! Congratulations!!

Can you tell that Josh has Solomon right now? I'm so lucky to have such a wonderful husband, I've already taken a shower and have been working on photos for an hour or two!

His crackly feet, only 6 hours out of the womb.

When we were discharged from the hospital we put Solomon in the outfit that Josh went home in 27 years ago from the hospital. Aww, isn't that sweet?
