After my brother drove me and Solomon to Lubbock last Saturday we were sure to get right in my mom's pool! It had been 5 weeks since I had been swimming and that was too long overdue for me in this awful heat! We had a wonderful cookout and Mom and Tim were just so happy to have all of the grandkids in one place for the first time. I even took Solomon swimming for the first time and he really liked it, he didn't even cry when I put him in the cool water. What a big boy!

Jackson conquered so many of his fears last week in the pool! He did awesome!

Jocelyn was a little dare devil in the pool! She even jumped off the diving board!

14390.jpgJosh's family is the all-American family; his mom is a Elementary School Secretary and his dad is a Lieutenant at the fire station in Stillwater. I've always loved that about them. His dad has been quite the hero and one of the things that I love about him is that he would risk his life for anyone, especially for his family. One of the biggest reasons that we moved back to Stillwater was because Josh wanted to be able to spend more time with his dad, and I'm glad that our son will have such a great example of a manly man as he grows up! Here are the photos of Sol's first trip to visit "Pops" at the fire station.

I will do a daily post from our trip to Lubbock, but wanted to show you how big my boy if getting! He will be 6 weeks this Tuesday and his little face is really changing! He was laying on Josh this morning and we were talking to him and he gave Josh a big smile. I love it!

Have you ever driven to Arcadia, Okahoma? There is a really neat place on Route 66 right by it called POPS! It is just a gas station, but it has every bottled soda pop known to man and it is a REALLY crowded place to visit. I love going there, it's just so colorful and FUN! I always try out a new kind of Root Beer and Josh always wants a NEHI PEACH, but you could try over 4,000 different sodas if you wanted to. Here are some photos from Solomon's first trip outside of Stillwater with his cousins from Seattle, we went to Pops and then to the Science Museum. I felt like I had to pack his whole room to get him there, but it was worth it!

This is Jackson's running necklace. Every piece equals 5 miles run and the two large feet equal 25 miles! He has run over 100 miles this year!!

ray:

what great photos. not being a backseat mom but in the picture of sol in the carseat just remember to have his chest protector higher on his chest. My friend has sent me all types of information about the right way and wrong way to put your child in the car seat. I am sure that maybe it was loosened for the outing. :) Gotta keep that little cute bundle safe safe! :) Your doing a great job being a new mom. :)
