Amanda and I had a morning to find something to do before Heather and Cary's wedding and happened upon a fun place called the Arkansas Post. They were demonstrating a canon firing while we were there, which was super cool and LOUD! My baby probably did a flip in my belly after the concussion hit us, it was a really big boom. Arkansas is just absolutely beautiful and we even saw an alligator in the wild!

Kara B:

Hello, I have admired your blog and photos for a long time. I was wondering if you sell your pictures, in particular the one above with the trees in the water. My friend in in Louisianna and is taking pictures similar for me and this one would add to the collection of prints for my wall. Please let me know. Thanks!

I will definitely be contacting you for a family session! Maybe between now and then I can learn how to smile without making my forehead look like a road map!

It's pretty sad when you and three friends teach a photography workshop and don't take a single photo during the entire week! Thank you Kate, for letting me steal this photo from your blog:).

This was our fifth and final Love Affair Workshop and let me just start by saying that it was amazing. We had 63 incredible women attend at the W Hotel in Dallas and it could not have been better (well, maybe a little if we didn't have to deal with the heat and humidity!). This workshop was a little different for me because I didn't have to plan one detail! Millie and Kelly were the main planners and Davina and I just came and taught. We used to spend hours a week on conference calls and it was nice to have the summer off while moving three different times.

The entire idea behind Love Affair was to write down everything that would make the perfect workshop experience: all women, beautiful goodies, massages, music, fancy hotels, gourmet food, tons of hangout time and really good content for all different levels of photographers. If I do say so myself, we nailed it!

I have changed so much about my own business and personal life since Love Affair and am so lucky and thankful to have been a part of it for the last several years. Kelly, Millie and Davina... you three are my best friends and I love you!

For everyone who attended!!--> link your Love Affair post in the comments so I can post some of your photos in this post!

I am leaving for the Love Affair workshop at 6:30 in the morning! I can't hardly wait, it is our last one and it is sure to be the best one yet!

I get to hang out with 60 fabulous photographers and stay at the W Hotel downtown Dallas for a week. How fun is that? Last time we hosted the LAW we were in mid town Atlanta and I ended up blushing my tan off in an elevator with Jeremy Piven. I wonder what celeb will be staying at the W this time?

Want to watch the week with me? http://www.loveaffairworkshop.com is the blog!

I just had a few quick edits to show you from the FABULOUS Jinky Art workshop.

Barb is amazing. Her workbook that came with the workshop was worth the $2k alone.

I am refreshed.

Libby:

Full disclosure: Baby with bowl on head is mine - I've been stalking a few of the photographer's sites hoping to get a glimpse of the work from Saturday's sessions. I am not disappointed! Beautiful work - I'm so glad my kids got to come out to the farm and be "models". Hope you enjoyed your trip to Ohio.
