Solomon has been sick ever since we got back from our Lubbock trip and I've been in the full swing of learning mode here with my photography. Refining, experimenting and reworking everything about my business and style. It has been a long weekend and I am starting from scratch to break out of old habits and embrace new. I'm 10 years in and am excited to feel like I should still be learning instead of sitting stagnate in my old ways, it's invigorating once you get past the pride of not knowing it all.
So in the next few posts you will see me working through the kinks of my new editing style, which of course, true to trend, is more simple and natural.
This morning Solomon ate frozen blueberries and as he began to play he snotted up pretty good. He gets really mad at me when he's sick because I wipe his face all day long and so I decided to get some photos without the wiping. He was glad.

Solomon has grown so much in the last month! He is also harder to photograph because all he does is look at me with a furrowed brow and run away exploring... such a boy!
Here are a few milestones we've hit:
- says please
- says" lu yuh"
- finally kissed me!
- starts to sing his abc's
- says about 200 words
- can do an awesome impersonation of a pig and a horse
- loves books that have anything to do with cars and trucks
- says "TRUUUUUCK" anytime he sees a car or truck
- can make all of the mechanical noises of airplanes, cars, trucks, boats, etc...
He is such a delight and such a wonderful baby! We have hit a few rough spots with beginning the terrible two's phase and we are meeting it with the Positive Discipline methods and he responds perfectly to it and hardly EVER has a lasting fit unless he's tired (or wants the IPAD, he's addicted). If you haven't read the book Positive Discipline, I urge you to read it! It makes so much sense and I can tell you that it works!
Here is my country bumpkin...
Christina Gerami:
Wow, he's gotten TALL! He looks like a little boy now instead of a baby.

Tonight I just wanted to take photos of Solomon, it has been a while, and I needed to put off the excuses of "no props, outfits or help" to do his photos and just shoot. The sun had gone down and the lighting was terrible, and so I decided to just take pictures of him doing what he does at night... go wild! Thank you to Josh for being a good sport and letting me take his photo all night too.
Gina:
We have a 2.5 year old and our evenings look exactly the same as yours. Ha. :)

Here is a 3 1/2 minute movie synopsis of my last week...
- 20 hours clocked in the new Honda Odyssey minivan with Solomon and Josh.
- My sister got engaged to her boyfriend who planned the engagement within 24 hours of asking me if it was ok if he married her. We both came to the conclusion "why not tomorrow?" and he pulled it together in a day!
- I saw my Nana, who I haven't seen in 8 years.
- The Clark family went to Beaver's Bend in Oklahoma for a snowy, Christmas, cabin getaway!
- It might have been the funnest Christmas yet!
Christina Gerami:
