Agra had their last football game on Friday night, closing out their record 6-4 season with a 50-0 score. I am so proud of my husband and all of the extremely long hours he put in for this program, but more importantly to better these young men. I know that they are so glad that he was their assistant football coach, because he is in it for them and to help them win and not solely for his own career gain.

I had several breakdowns through the months feeling like a single mom, lonely and left out, but I realized that I needed to let go of my "control" and be there for Josh and Solomon as best as I could. It meant hardly seeing Josh for three months, but all of that is about to change and I am so excited! We can go on dates again and he can finish my left over summer to-do list for the house! My busy season is about to hit and the Lord knew that I had to have him there to help me while it was my turn to put in more hours than normal for my career.

I began enjoying screaming, chanting and applauding the team at games and only missed two games all season, thanks to my mother-in-law who watched Solomon for me! I learned a lot about myself and saw a few uglies inside that I needed to hand over to God, and so this trial ended in triumph and new revelation about myself and how I should live... as a servant! My life is not my own as a follower of Christ and I should willingly lay it down for others (my husband and his team!).

Although I am glad to have 9 months off from football, I will be excited and better prepared for next season!
