So I was convinced that I was having a girl after dreaming about her around 7 weeks. I had a dream that Solomon was a boy around that time and with me not being as sick I was convinced that it was prophecy.
Not.
I was totally wrong and was thankful! Raising a daughter in this time and age is scary and I am thankful to have at least two boys before a girl, I need some strong, intimidating brothers to help her out with the boys when she is a teenager.
So we went in and I was so excited to prove my dream to be true, until she zoomed in on the bootie section and she said, "he is DEFINITELY a boy!", I was really shocked and had no expected that at all, which made it even more fun for me! I won't have to buy anything new or redecorate their room, hallelujah! Solomon will have a best friend who might even be in the same grade if we hold Solomon back due to a summer birthday.
We weren't for sure on a name until we went to Pei Wei and had dinner, and I wrote out all of the options on paper and it was down to Elijah or Silas. We went with Silas, meaning "forest" and his middle name is Alan, after my dad means "handsome". I love that we found another unique Bible name!
So here is a sono pic of Silas Alan Clark!
CONGRATULATIONS!!!
(11.21.12 @ 10:54 AM)I agree, brothers close in age are bound to be best friends!
We have such similar stories! I was also convinced my 2nd was a girl, until we found out he is a boy! :)
Our 2 boys are 15 months apart. Our oldest is already so in love with his brother. (our little one is only 2 weeks old). It is so sweet to see Isaac give his little brother, Case Elijah, hugs and kisses. That is all he wants to do, is kiss brother. :)
You will love having 2 boys! Congrats again!
*That is the reason I never got in touch with you about photographing us this fall, we had briefly talked about a trade last winter, photographing each other this fall, but we had a surprise when we found out we were having a 2nd little one! Now we should trade for our families of 4! :)
