I took Solomon into the doctor last week for a sickness and when I mentioned that I was pregnant again he asked if I had had a songram yet. I said "no" and then he quickly offered one for FREE! What an awesome gift!

It isn't every day when you are blessed with something that is frivolous that someone just wants to give you from the goodness of their heart, and a look at my new baby was the perfect way to make me feel blessed that day. Solomon kept running around the room trying to unplug the machine and he ended up pushing the button that prints the photos several times and so we got lots of pictures!

I'm 14 weeks now and have gained 15 pounds already. I am now where I was the last time that I got pregnant and so hopefully I won't tip the scales past 200 again. I'm also not eating ice cream every day (now it's only once a week!:) and so things are looking up.

I had a dream that I was having a girl around 8 weeks, the same time that I had a dream that Solomon was a boy. I have tons of boy names like Samuel, Silas, Oren, Josiah, Elijah, Ezra (of course, most of them are Bible names), but the girl names were pretty lacking.

The only one I had was Secily, which I loved, until I saw that it meant "blind". Her name was going to be Secily Nina (after my mom), which would mean "blind little girl", so of course, the search went on. I've come up with a few that I love, but Josh isn't sold on any of them... yet.
So far I like Secily (which I might just make up a meaning for if I can't find another name), Quinn, Maryn or Clary. I LOVE Clary.

Oh, by the way, I'm having a home birth... like in my living room. I meet with my midwife this Tuesday.

So amazing to be able to peep inside! And I'm totally with you on the biblical boy names (my son is Isaiah and I really like Eli and Judah), but struggle with the girl names! That's so neat that you dream the sex (or so we'll see..). If you want someone to photograph your home birth.. holla! I"m not quite sure where it is that you're living now, but I know I totally loved having photos from my l&d :c)

Lauren - It's Laura from LAW 2010 in Dallas. I'm SO excited to hear how you LOVE your home birth. I had Cason (our second son) at a birth center and couldn't have imagined anything better. Hope your pregnancy goes oh so smoothly (I felt like it was a little more exhausting the 2nd time around since I had a toddler to chase).

Good for you! I hated our hospital birth with baby #1. Praying for a smooth pregnancy and delivery for you!

Congrats Lauren! I'm so happy for you! I'm sure you're so glad that you've slowed down and spent more time with your family since Solomon was born. It's fun to see your family grow!
