Mack, Chelsea, Jack and Dorothy drove 6 hours for me to do their family photos last weekend. I was honored, it always surprises me when people come from far away lands (like Texas!) for me to photograph them. Chelsea second shot a wedding with me last summer when I was in a pinch and I have been grateful ever since! Her family lives in a tiny town southwest of Ft. Worth and they have the most adorable early 1900's home (I've seen it driving through before and was jealous of this pioneer looking home) and with Dorothy turning 1 they decided to have some new family pictures done. One request, a couch. They couldn't tote their's all the way up from Texas and so we decided to use our love seat and load it up into Josh's truck. They are big readers and brought tons of their favorite books, what a fun idea, right? It was raining cats and dogs the day before and for most of the day that they drove in, but it was their only opportunity to shoot and so we embraced the dark clouds and cold breeze and went with it! Here are my favorites...
LAUREN!!! I am so in love with these! You did such a fabulous job, and I can't wait to see the rest. Thank you for helping make my vision come to life, even with the uncooperative weather.
(09.20.11 @ 08:57 PM)Oh my how I am ridiculously in love with these! What a cute idea with the couch, books and Sock Monkey! It kind of reminds me of Friends (who doesn't love that). I love this family so much, and you took perfect pictures of them and their personalities!
