Can you believe that Solomon is 4 weeks old today? Boy, I can't! Let me tell you all of the new things he is doing!

He had been sleeping on me for the last 3 1/2 weeks so that I could keep him a little more upright for his AR and to not have to get out of bed to feed/change him during the night! This last week I decided to give the crib a try. After putting him on Prevacid (Proton Pump Inhibitor, I know, fancy lingo... it stops the stomach's pumps from making as much acid) and putting a photo album under one side of his mattress I knew that he would be ok sleeping in it by himself. I just put him down one night and off he went to sleep without a peep! He woke up to eat about every 3 hours and I fed him and then put him right back to bed... and off he went again for another 3 hours! He has done great for the last 3 nights without even crying (with the help of the softest blanket in the world, a pacifier and the sleep sheep of course).

Someone let me in on why you are supposed to keep them awake after a feeding before letting them nap during the day, but putting them to bed right after a feeding during the night... it's so that they can know what daytime is and what night time is! Genius! I mean, it seems like a normal person could figure that out on their own, but not me. I really helped me understand a lot more about all of this Babywise stuff! (and for all of you anti-babywise people, I am doing a modified BW, not the natzi version:)

He has also started to try and smile every once in a while when he is awake and make funny noises! I love this.

Solomon is a good little boy, but still HATES his car seat. I just plan on about 15 minutes of blood curling screaming when we are driving around. I haul this little boy all over town. Yesterday I took him to Mimi's, Wal-Mart, Sonic and a walk at the park! I'm trying to prepare him for my first 7 hour drive to Lubbock this coming weekend.

He is also eating more, too! I'm feeding him about 3 1/2 ounces every 2 1/2-3 hours and boy is he getting some rolls on his body. He's so cute.

We had him down for a nap and came back in because we heard him crying pretty hard and he had rolled from his stomach onto his back! What a strong boy.

He loves his bath time and Lavender lotion massages at night!

He wasn't very happy for his picture to be taken this time...

We have a Sleep Sheep too!! fantastic help for nighttime.
- I think most folks who do babywise, do a modified version. The concept of what it teaches isn't bad, some of the practices are just questionable. I think every 'parenting style' is modified for everyone's particular kid. Car seat gets better too, we go all over the place and live 30 minutes outside of town. At 10 weeks, she's pretty happy in it.
