Today has been a very anticipated day for me. I remember a few months ago after I made my first batch of homemade butterfinger ice cream that my friend Amanda told me about an ice cream festival in a small town close to Stillwater. Before my maternity leave started I spent several hours on the Travelok.com website searching for fun, free things to do around the state this summer and stumbled upon the Chandler Ice Cream Festival.
I had big, big hopes for this event. I imagined a huge fair atmosphere with ice cream eating contest and different tastings and although it was hardly what I imagined, it was still worth the free scoop of Rocky Road and meeting the lady who told me that she ate a block of velveeta everyday during her pregnancy and gained 279 pounds in 9 months(don't worry, she lost it all eating rice and drinking water for a full year...).
My friend, Kayla Hoffsomer, came with me on this fun outing and we spent the rest of the afternoon browsing through one of the best antique shops I've been to in a long while!
The countdown continues... 19 more days before induction!
Me in all of my glory...
Love.Love.Love you my crazy fun, adventurous friend. I remember you talking about this months ago and remember thinking how far away that seemed. Now June is upon us...what an exciting time as we await Mr. Sol's upcoming arrival!
