The land at night

This is my first official day off (well sort of, from sessions anyway) and I needed some fun friend time with a little bit of smoke and seed ticks mixed in. I called my trusty friend, Amanda Watson, and we went on an adventure to my land to cook a breakfast type meal in my new dutch oven. It took us about 30 minutes to even get the fire going, we almost gave up and went into town for some Wendy's or Braum's until I got ahold of Josh on the phone. He told us to start with just small twigs and once they catch on fire to add bigger sticks and then logs... well, I have the smartest husband in the whole world because it worked! We began to cook our hash browns, sausage, stick of butter, eggs and cheese over the open flame and we felt like real pioneer women. I have never had to work that hard for my food before, by the time it was finished cooking I was sweating!
