Sarah and Will | Lubbock Arboretum Chapel Wedding

I met Sarah at Amanda and John’s wedding last summer in Idalou, Texas and was thrilled when she contacted me to be her wedding photographer this year!

Sarah and Will have a wonderful story of God’s faithfulness for those who don’t choose to just settle. I loved hearing the preacher talk about how they met during their vows and enjoyed being a part of their intimate wedding at the chapel at the Lubbock Arboretum.

They had their reception at the new Sugar Brown’s coffee shop on Indiana and that was so special because my husband and I were dating when he worked at the original location on 50th. I loved seeing familiar faces and meeting all of the people that Sarah and Will love so much! Congratulations you two!

Ashlin and Garret | Macalaster House Shallowater Wedding

I have known Ashlin’s mom for almost a decade through photography workshops and have had the pleasure of photographing the Burgett family

I’m sure everyone will agree with me when I say that Ashlin and her mom have the most GORGEOUS eyes I’ve ever seen!!several times over those years.

I was thrilled to be able to photograph Ashlin’s wedding day at the Macalaster House in Shallowater, Texas last Friday when a scorching heat wave blistered the area with 108 degree weather!

The wedding was moved indoors for the guests and we all were so thankful!!

Ashlin and Garrett’s wedding was absolutely wonderful. The decorations were lovely, the BBQ was so delicious and the dancing was LIVELY!

Congratulations to the bride and groom!

Tyler and Cici | Hyatt Lost Pines Wedding

What can I say about this beautiful bride? I first saw Cici at Kindergarten orientation at Cooper West in Lubbock, Texas when my son was assigned to her classroom. She was young, peppy and was wearing camping gear for Kindergarten Camp day. She was so beautiful and I could tell that my son was in good hands as this nervous mama was sending her first one off to public school.

She went on to teach my two oldest how to read and was such an exceptional teacher that she was quickly promoted over the larger district for her ability to connect children to reading. Cici is just a light everywhere she goes and I am so blessed to have her in my life.

I couldn’t wait to photograph her beautiful wedding at the Hyatt Lost Pines Resort in Bastrop, Texas last weekend.

We lucked out as our prayers for the rain to stay away were answered and the whole group from West Texas was able to party to 11:30 to live music. I loved seeing how many people drove down from Lubbock to celebrate with the couple. They have incredible friends and can’t wait to see what these two do now that they are married!

Congratulations, Tyler and Cici!

Ryleigh and Jake | Kitalou Gin Lubbock Wedding

I met Ryleigh a few years ago when I drove out to her family’s property in Turkey, Texas to photograph their family photos in the red dirt canyons of the Texas panhandle.

The first thing we talked about was the enneagram. I could just tell that she was a 7 (7w6 if I remember correctly!) and just thought she was such a beautiful, bright light kind of person.

I was so excited when her mom and Hotel Turkey owner, Tina, contacted me about photographing her wedding at the Kitalou Gin in Idalou this May.

The details were perfect, the day went on without a hiccup, Ryleigh was absolutely stunning in her simple wedding gown and I teared up during their vows and prayer!

It felt like the entire town of Turkey and surrounding area attended and I loved seeing so many people together celebrating with West Texas style!

Congratulations Jake and Ryleigh!!

Abby and Jimmie |Cotton Creek Barn Wedding

Wow! It has been a minute since I’ve written a blog! So much has been happening in my world and with photography and I just haven’t sat down to create one for you, but this occasion is worth the post!

Abby and Jimmie had the sweetest (windiest) wedding I’ve been to in a long time!

They were married at Cotton Creek in New Home and had so many wonderful family and friends attend their beautiful ceremony. I loved Abby’s color scheme for the wedding and all of her country-boho details that mixed her fashion sense and West Texas roots. The couple became a family with their two children and it was so sweet to witness. The dancing and partying went on with a fun reception and they ended the night with S’mores and a sparkler send off!

Congratulations Abby and Jimmie!

Want to learn my top secret editing methods?

A lot has been going on over in my world behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to share it all with you next month!

But for now I want to offer you something that people have been asking me about for YEARS!! I have held my editing secrets close for the last decade and have finally decided to pull back the curtain for anyone who wants to learn! People always ask me…

“HOW DO YOU GET THOSE SKIN TONES?”

“HOW DO YOU GET THOSE COLORS TO SHINE?

“WILL YOU SELL ME YOUR AMAZING PRESETS?”

“HOW DO YOU DO 24 HOUR TURNAROUND TIME?”

Well let me tell you friends- the time for me to teach all of this is NOW!!!!

In 2009 I created a one hour DVD tutorial called UNO DVD where I showed my entire editing process using ACR and Photoshop.

It sold over 750 copies worldwide.

DVD slots aren’t even included in IMACS anymore and some of those techniques are a thing of the past, so it’s time to update!

I still do some of the same basics, but I have automated so many things with Lightroom and it has shaved off HOURS from my workload and my photos are consistently bright, colorful and put together lightning fast!

Would it help you if I could teach you ALL of my editing and post processing secrets?

In this 1 hour zoom workshop I will be teaching you how to :

– Cull and edit a session in less than 90 minutes
– Automate as many things as possible to save you hours in front of the computer screen
– Make custom adjustments to trouble photos in LR
– Detail editing in Photoshop such as blemish removal, making people slimmer, and how to darken and lighten certain areas for extra drama

After the zoom workshop you will have the opportunity to purchase my NEVER BEFORE RELEASED PRESETS!!

I only use 1 color and 1 black and white preset.

How simple is that??
