Caroline won my lifestyle session giveaway last week and I was so excited to meet their family and photograph their precious memories. I picked Caroline as one of the two winners because she wrote the longest list of things that she loved and wanted to remember about her children, it was so detailed that I could just feel the love and deep connection that she had with them. Caroline and her family moved to Lubbock from Europe before her oldest son was born and her husband is a Geology professor at TTU, he’s the nicest guy!
If you would like for me to photograph your favorite things about your family in a documentary way, please contact me! I’m running a $200 off special for lifestyle sessions until the end of March!

Josh’s sister and kids are in town this week and they are the family that we bought our home from when they moved away last May to Dripping Springs. We had a fun campfire last night after the kids just played all day long on their old fort!
Yesterday (yes, I stayed up and edited the entire 380 images from this session in one day, I need coffee…) I had the pleasure of photographing an incredible family lifestyle session for one of Solomon’s classmates. These sessions are so inspiring and maturing me as a photographer so much because I have to constantly push myself in the technical side of photography to create art with my camera in every lighting situation. It’s like shooting a wedding in two hours! I think I took 1500 photographs in the 2 hours I spent with them, it was crazy and amazing! If you would like for me to do a lifestyle session for your family and show the heart and soul of your family through the art of photography then contact me today!

Yesterday I held my annual group photography workshop at Tumbleco in Lubbock and as part of the workshop I always teach the attendees how I do an actual shoot. They all chose to watch me photograph a family and my second shooter for weddings, Secily, and her family came down from Plainview to model for the 30 minute mini. Her youngest daughter was starting to get sick, but I think we still got some really good shots regardless! I always take my attendees to the strangest places I can find to show them that you can use ANY location to get good photographs if you know how to see the light, work well with the clients and input the right settings! Thank you to everyone who came to learn!
Solomon is my working buddy, he doesn’t take naps anymore and so he sits on the computer desk and plays legos while I work. I couldn’t resist documenting this memory, it’s just what my life looks like as a photographer and full time mother!
