First off, can you believe that it is June 1st?? I mean, how has this year already flown half way by? I drove here with the boys a month ago to move in with my mom for an uncertain amount of time. We weren’t able to look for a house to buy because Josh didn’t have a job and with me being self-employed we wouldn’t be pre-approved for a bank loan. From the moment that I got to my mom’s house I was both relieved and very overwhelmed with the task ahead. Finding a job, finding a house, getting Sam’s screaming fits to stop, managing the boys who were showing signs of rivalry and chaos from all of the change and finally just settling down and finding peace seemed like an insurmountable task.

The morning after we arrived my mom went to run errands for several hours. Silas was running into the street, Solomon was misbehaving like crazy and the baby was crying constantly. When she got home, I just sat there and cried and said, “I can’t do this. I CAN’T.”

I called Josh and told him about my morning and how he had better get down here quick and we had to find a place to live that I could baby proof.

By that afternoon through a series of random events, we had the idea to buy Josh’s sister’s house. Their first buyer fell through a month prior and they were moving out that Wednesday. Josh was planning on moving with the Uhual and loading up a storage unit Thursday. We worked out the details and committed to move in and rent until Josh found a job and then we would buy it.

It was TOTALLY planned by God to the LAST minute. They had even had several people wanting to buy the house from a posting they listed on F B that very day, but gave us priority. I even had a wonderful friend from high school offer a few weeks prior to let us rent an incredible house for a deal while we looked. I remember thinking what an amazing offer it was, but just had NO peace about it. I kept feeling this “NO” in my spirit, but had no reason not to take the property. We said no, and I was looking for God to come through. He DID!

I randomly posted about Josh looking for a job on FB and that is how he got a job the week after he moved in. Everything worked out to the last minute and to the last detail. It is a HUGE testimony and faith builder in my life’s story that when you step out in faith and do what you think God is calling you to (moving across the country without a job or a house) then He will give your foot a place to land as soon as you are about to place your foot down.

His provision is seldom early, but never late.

I could not be more in love with this house and the potential it has for our family.
