How cool is this? I learned how to make a moving GIF today and took some images at G-mom’s pool to create one of the cousins swimming together.
We are ALL about swimming in our family. For as long as I can remember I spent summers at the community pool next door to our house in Fort Stockton, Texas and in the stock tank at my Grandma’s farm. My favorite part of the community pool was buying the Fire Jolly Rancher sticks for a quarter, letting them melt in the hot West Texas sunshine and then twisting them into spirals before happily eating them.
My family would frequent Balmorhea, the Guadalupe River, California beaches, lakes and any other swimming place we could find. We would come home exhausted and sun-kissed and those are the same memories that I want to give to my kids.
My mom has a pool in her backyard and we frequent it several times a week from May-October.
We are headed to Jacob’s Well, Pedernales State Park and Wimberley’s Blue Hole this month.
Where are some of your favorite places to swim in Texas that we should check out?
