My middle son turned 4 this week and we decided to have his birthday party at his favorite place for the second year in a row, Papa’s junkyard. Silas loves exploring, “working”, petting animals and driving forklifts and tractors. He would rather play with a dog or a toolbox over hot wheels or legos any day and we wanted to celebrate who he is to us and what he loves. The boy smiled and laughed more than I’ve seen his serious, introverted self do in a long time! We had so much fun with his cousins and hope to do it again next year!
