Being a boy mom, and with a really laid back personality myself, I have learned to let go of perfection and embrace the mess. My kids are rarely clean until we are about to slide open those automatic minivan doors (I never want to live without them) and enter public, and that’s when we frantically look for the wipes and smear their faces with them. Boogers, dirt and food are a fashion accessory in this family (at least when I’m the only parent home!).
