So excited for you girlie! CONGRATS!!!!

I haven't had a home birth, BUT I will say you are so right about having pitocin. With my 2 boys I had to be induced with pitocin & then with my last birth 6 months ago of my baby girl...I had NOTHING & though contractions hurt...there is no doubt about that, BUT they were definitely not as intensely crazy like with my boys when they gave me pitocin. I had NO epidural, NOTHING with my lil Addi & contractions/labor was MUCH smoother than with my boys!

Kudos to you on the home birth....not sure I could do a home birth, but I'm with ya on the all natural.....labor part :-)

Lauren, thank you for sharing. I had Aimee "natural" in a hospital, but it sounds like your experience was much better than mine. Way to be strong! Welcome baby Silas!

Wooohoo! Awesome, Lauren! SO glad to hear it went so well. Was praying for you. I loved my water birth and could say even thirty minutes after that I'd do it again, and that's just crazy talk for me. (Ps. I went with Ruth Cobb at the birth center in Tulsa, and it was so much better than the hospital for sure.)

Congrats on a beautiful, healthy baby! So thankful God answered your prayers and it was a great experience for you and baby...I'm 18 weeks pregnant and facing a delivery in a third world country (I'm a little nervous to say the least!). Reading this was very encouraging to me!
